Urbane Living is proud to introduce a new line of interior products suitable for children’s playrooms and nurseries. Our Kids range allows parents to adapt the same sense of style as they would when decorating the rest of their home without compromising their own taste. The Kids range includes bright and vibrant natural floorcoverings, children’s wallpaper printed with water based inks on paper from sustained forests, hand-crafted wall paper silhouette recycled from vintage stock and 100% wool rugs.

Go Wild with Animal and Tree Wallpapers

Cultivate your child's inner habitat with this unusual children's wallpaper collection from Dutch designer Inke Heiland. Each animal silhouette is individually hand crafted from original vintage designer wallpaper, many of which are from the 60s and 70s. This kids wallpaper collection is bound to bring a sense of fun into a kid's room. The great news is they work well in both modern or rustic environments so they can be easily adapted to the same deco in the rest of the home without compromising on style. Here's a tip, mix and match different animals and patterns to create your very own design.
As the wallpaper is recycled from vintage stock, the patterns are available in limited quantities only. Each silhouette is supplied as a Do It Yourself Kit, which includes a brush, paste and simple instructions.

The Oak Flooring material is sourced from sustainable forests with the chain of custody covered by the FSC certification system ensuring the timber is from a sustainable source.

Carpet has made a great come-back. As well as beautiful, carpet is warm and soft to walk on. It provides an extra layer of soft padding adding to comfort and energy efficiency. Carpet can absorb sound transmission between floors so especially helpful for those of us who live in a flat.
In addition carpet and its installation tend to cost much less than they would for hard surfaces offering an economical alternative to other flooring choices. But with so many carpet products to choose from, how do you know which carpet is the best for you?
Carpet can create a huge impact to any room’s decor and in today’s market, they come in a diverse choice of patterns, textures and colours making a design statement in it’s own right. As well as the design and aesthetic aspects, it is wise to consider the following simple tips before buying your carpet:

Room Traffic
How much footwork will the room take? A hallway, stairs and landing will need a hard wearing carpet as these are high traffic areas.

Existing Decor
Do you want smooth or textured flooring? Do you want a rustic or modern look? Does it match with the home decor? Remember choose the carpet first and install it last!

Carpet Material
Do you want a plant-fibre or wool based carpet flooring? Both materials are popular for their eco properties. They come from abundant and renewable sources and are 100% biodegradable. Avoid synthetic and any other man-made fibre as they are bad for your health and the environment plus natural wool is flame resistant, inflammable and resistant to dirt, dust and bacteria.

Budget
