This tropical hardwood also known as Lapacho or Tajibo has an attractive golden brown to dark brown colour and a tight uniform grain providing a warm look interiors. This type of Ipe has less colour variation than than brazilian Ipe (white Peroba). Lengths tend not to be as long as you would find with oak flooring. Ipe is an incredibly hard timber and will wear very well so is suitable for residential and commercial floors.
