Solid wood floors are those cut from a single continuous piece of hardwood. It has not been engineered or glued. A high quality and long lasting interior material, they can be sanded down and refinished over generations of use.

As solid wood floors are solid all the way through, they are sensitive to moisture. Hence, it is not recommended to install the solid wood floors directly over new concrete slab or in areas with higher moisture content such as bathrooms or basements, in some instances there are exceptions to this rule.
