Ash is a luxurious wood that provide a lively and vibrant floor. The lightly hued ash gains its personality from its exciting grain patterning. Sapwood and heartwood in fresh ash timber can vary from light reddish to grey in colour tone; overtime the heartwood becomes a beautiful light brown. Ash is ideal for flooring as it has similar hardness to European Oak and will take stains well. The grain is very attractive and is for sale as engineered boards with oil or lacquer finish. Our ash boards are available with a clear finish, or for something interesting white oiled or thermo treated to give a warm dark flooring.
