American Wood Oil is a natural Tung Oil, which has been carefully gathered, pressed and purified from a Tung tree in South America. It’s natural properties makes this oil water proof and hard wearing.
Clean Seal is an interior wood Tung oil, that is formulated to fixate and seal off the base pigment. It is compatible with other natural oils and pre finished floors. Clear Seal helps prevent the absorption of grease and dirt, water resistance and slip retardant.
For extra protection and for high traffic areas, Clear Seal can be applied on top of Transparent Gold and Warm Grey Oils
A clear translucent non colouring oil with a flat matt finish.
Sold in 1 litre (approx 13m2 coverage per coat) and 3.8 litre (approx 50m2 coverage per coat)
There are 3 choices of application of Clear Oil.
- Paint Brush – Use a natural bristle brush and work on full boards at a time (5-10m2) Leave the oil to be absorbed for a few moments before rubbing off any excess oil. Lightly Brushing out and lifting off at the end of each stroke. Leave to dry for 8 hours at a minimum temperature of 16 degrees and area must be well ventilated.
- Lambswool Applicator – First use a natural bristle brush to work on the edges of the room. Use Lamb’s wool applicator along the full length of the floor. To avoid lab marks maintain a whet edge by overlapping sections you previously ended by several cm/inches. Leave to dry for 8 hours at a minimum temperature of 16 degrees and area must be well ventilated.
- Polishing machine – Apply the oil in an even coat with a low speed floor buffing machine using a white polishing pad. Continue in sections until the whole floor has been finished. Leave to dry for 8 hours at a minimum temperature of 16 degrees and area must be well ventilated. Please note some pigments cannot be applied with a polishing machine.
